“Your Shadowed Doubts”

by Nick Boeder

Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys entered his minimalist period in the late sixties. Like so many other artists at the time who were inspired by Bob Dylan (The Beatles were no exception) the idea was to discard anything that was unessential to the lyrics and the composition. This approach is at the very heart of Nick Boeder’s creativity.

His single “Your Shadowed Doubts” is a great example of how very little you need to tell a story and create a fantastic piece of music. His vocals are strong, very confident, and the groove in the background works wonders. Oh, and I truly like the guitar fills – another example of how much you can achieve with only a few well thought out bits here and there.

“Your Shadowed Doubts” is an outstanding offering from Boeder and will go down well with any fan of indie pop/rock or folk. Check it out.
