”Two Men By The Harbour” continues Ulrich Jannert’s series of fantastic releases. It’s a piano driven, soulful pop gem that grooves. The bass and the guitar are subtle but very effective and the saxophone ... it will give you goosebumps. Everything in the arrangement has its place. There’s plenty of room for Jannert’s fantastic voice that once again is the central ingredient here. It’s raspy, powerful and full of life experinece … majestic.
”Every dream’s a ship waiting for the wind” is a powerful lyric. And it’s true. That’s what life is about in so many ways … waiting for the wind that carries you where you want to be. So much about our existence is mere serendipity, cosmic happenstance. All we can do is wait and hope.
I suppose what I’m trying to say is that Jannert’s new single is outstanding. If you haven’t heard it yet, queue it up. It’s a great way to start 2026.
