The Review

This track starts out with guitars, bass and drums playing in unison as if they were dancing with one another. Next, a  Woo! to accent the rhythm bass and guitar. To imply something really cool is about to happen so, brace yourself. Then the lyrics come in singing, "We Know We Both Have Reasons with you, Hang On The Wings Have Seasons, Miss You, Ah Fools or Angels" This is a breakup song and those are some interesting lyric really get your mind peaking to see what comes next. The bridge is rather quite nice with a guitar solo and the vocalist sings along side the solo. The track gets more intense as it goes, and the couple in this situation relies that what they had is really over and its time to bring in the "War Machines".

In conclusion, this is a really good track about breakup. It keeps you interest to see what comes next with the couple in the situation. The guitars, bass and drums were played perfectly setting up the stage for the story line. All the vocalists sung like song birds along side one anther. Readers I really enjoyed this track. And I encourage you readers to give it a listen. I'm sure you will love it!

This track start off with, a swirling of guitars that is very pleasing to the ears. in the background there is a electric guitar playing a lead that sounds as if it is in the distance. What an outstanding sound from The Petal Falls!
In comes the vocalist singing, "I Dove off a Mountain, If I found you stop and stare..." That says a lot for what one feels for another.

Musicians: Get Involved

Mungo Jerry
Why Should YOU as a musician, get involved with helping out the planet?

Music is a form of art that has no boundaries, and artists who create it have enormous power to influence and inspire people globally. At the same time, environmental charities are organizations that work to protect and conserve natural resources, endangered species, and ecosystems all around the world. Let's elaborate on why musicians should get involved in environmental charities. Firstly, musicians have a massive audience base that can be utilized to raise awareness about environmental issues. Secondly, musicians have the ability to convey powerful messages and emotions through their music, which can influence audiences to take action against environmental problems. Thirdly, music can be used as a means to fundraise for environmental charities, and this can be very beneficial for such organizations.

Musicians have a huge fan base that can be used to raise awareness about environmental issues. Fans follow their favorite musicians on social media platforms, concerts, and events. Musicians can use these platforms to share information about environmental issues such as global warming, climate change, and deforestation. By sharing links, articles, and spread awareness using these platforms, musicians can create an impact among their followers. Musicians have the ability to get their fans to care about the environment since fans look up to these artists, and they trust their opinions. By involving themselves in environmental charities, musicians can draw the attention of their massive audience to environmental issues.

Musicians have the ability to convey powerful messages and emotions through their music, which can influence audiences to take action against environmental problems. Music is an essential tool for conveying messages and emotions. Musicians can use music to create awareness about environmental issues and inspire their fans to take action. For example, a musician can create a music video that shows the effects of pollution on the environment. Using a catchy tune and meaningful lyrics, musicians can produce a song that resonates with people and motivates them to think about their actions and take steps to reduce their carbon footprint.

Music can be used as a means to fundraise for environmental charities. Musicians have the ability to produce music that people can buy to support environmental charities. For example, artists such as Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, and Jason Mraz have used their music and concerts to raise awareness and funds for environmental charities. Other musicians can follow suit by hosting concerts, creating merchandise that promotes environmental awareness, and donating money from their album sales to environmental charities. Funds from these events can be used to support research, organize rallies, and spread awareness about environmental issues that require attention.

Suzi Quatro
Musicians can create partnerships with environmental charities to support their causes. By partnering with environmental charities, musicians can amplify their message and spread awareness even further. These partnerships present an opportunity for musicians to collaborate with environmental charities on fundraising efforts, creating educational content, and hosting awareness events. For example, The Foo Fighters partnered with Rock the Vote to encourage their fans to vote and become politically in
volved in environmental issues. Such partnerships are beneficial as they help increase awareness and amplify the message the musicians try to get across.

Environmental charities and musicians can collaborate together to spread awareness about environmental issues and create change. By joining forces, environmental charities and musicians can host events, rallies, and concerts, all of which would have a significant impact on creating awareness around environmental issues. For instance, environmental charities can host events where musicians can perform, and the proceedings raised can go to support the charity's mission. This type of partnership not only supports the environmental charity but also gives musicians an opportunity to use their platform to raise awareness.

Musicians can use their influence to raise awareness about specific environmental issues that require attention. Musicians can choose to focus on one of the many environmental problems that require attention, such as deforestation, water pollution, and climate change. With this initiative, they can amplify the message and raise awareness of these issues, which will draw attention to the root cause and encourage people to take appropriate action. This way, musicians can effectively target a specific issue, communicate with their fans, and work towards promoting more sustainable lifestyles.
Musicians can encourage their fans to make small changes in their daily lives that have a significant impact on the environment. They can use their platforms to promote sustainable activities such as recycling, public transport, and reducing the use of single-use plastics. By normalizing sustainable lifestyles, those efforts encourage fans to take small steps towards making changes that can benefit the environment. Musicians can create distinct campaigns that promote different sustainable changes, such as touring using carbon-neutral methods.

Musicians can support the use of eco-friendly products through endorsing and partnering with companies that produce sustainable merchandise, such as clothing made from organic cotton or accessories made from recycled materials. They can also use their influence to advocate for policies that support environmental protection and conservation. By using their platform to promote eco-friendly practices, musicians can inspire their fans to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle and contribute to a healthier planet.

So, if you have decided you'd like to help, then get in touch with us at Minds Behind the Music. We're actively looking for musicians to release "singles" in aid of Greenpeace and various other environmental and animal charities. All the chosen releases go MAINSTREAM and are released on every single platform world-wide and we will press release and promote every single at our cost. Simple.

Gary Dranow & the Manic Emotions single, "Mellow Drama"

About Gary Dranow & the Manic Emotions

Gary Dranow & the Manic Emotions is a Park City, Utah-based classic rock band making music for the square pegs. After creating successful business endeavors in the world of outdoor sports, bandleader Gary Dranow turned to music to help him cope with bipolar disorder and the effects of a stroke. The result is a genre-defying collection of songs that provide comfort to those who are also walking a difficult path.

After several successful releases from their debut album, Destiny Road, they are finally ready to release the much anticipated collection. But for Gary Dranow, the band’s leader and songwriter, there is no other song that’s more personal than “Mellow Drama".

About Gary

This classic rock-influenced single has whispers of blues elements reminiscent of the rock of the 80’s. The playfulness of the keyboard sprinkled throughout the single adds texture to Gary’s skilled guitar.

He wrote “Mellow Drama” in the third person, from the point of view of those he’s been in relationships with, both platonic and romantic. As someone with Bipolar with mania, he explored what it must have been like for others to be around him.

“When I was in my late 40s I was diagnosed as bipolar with mania and for the first time, I had a reference for why I acted out as I did from early childhood until I started to be managed pharmacologically. I blew up three marriages and many relationships due to my over-the-top personality,” says Gary.

“It wasn't until I moved to Park City and a Ski Racing buddy of mine, referred me to his psychiatrist, Dr. Kalm (really his name, no joke) that I was put on the right combination of meds and I mellowed out tremendously. Before that I was hyper-aggressive and often people would be put off by my demeanor. That all changed under the care of Dr. Kalm. Now I'm as calm as a lake without wind, very stable, andnow a genuinely nice, caring person.”

Gary's struggles with manic depression have fueled his creativity and inspired him to make music that speaks to the human experience. To have your personal and professional life disrupted by your sensitivity to others around you, it sets you back every time you think you have made a step forward. That is where a lot of Gary's lyrical inspiration comes from in his original tunes.

The Review... "Mellow Drama"

This starts out with that with that iconic sound of the 80's. Guitars strumming along side a guitar lead, bass and the organ, with that classic 80's beat. Anybody from that time will enjoy this. I know I did! As the band  plays they introduce  the vocalist singing, "You think It's easy Being your friend, You think it's easy Telling you things you don't want to hear, I've had a rough time with you, Its not easy being your friends, Tell me what you want me to do." In a very inviting voice with very deep lyrics. The kinda lyric's that hit home. Song writer Gary Dramow writes an amazing track about his struggles in life. As you read above he suffers from Bipolar disorder and a stroke. Hats off to you Gary Dranow for writing such a outstanding track.

In conclusion, readers if you love the 80's style tracks. Well this  is a winner! With deep lyrics and a great sounding band that will take you back to the past with that classic 80's sound. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this band, and I think you will to!

Kane Kalas Tells All In His Q & A....Plus, His single, 'Luck Be a Lady' Releases His Rendition of Frank Sinatra’s Classic!.

Q & A for Kane Kalas

Tell me about yourself.
I am a classically trained recording artist, professional poker player, and investor. While I’m
originally from Philadelphia, I’ve lived in many different places around the world including Costa
Rica, Malta, and currently Puerto Rico. I have a passion for the Great American Songbook.
What are the essential qualities that make a good musician?
A musician’s most important job — in any genre — is connecting to their fans. Bob Dylan and
Taylor Swift do this through their profound yet accessible lyrics. Sinatra, on the other hand, used
his one-of-a-kind phraseology. Patsy Cline connected to country fans with her haunting and
heartfelt vocal dynamics. Dean Martin? Off-the-cuff comedy.

What first got you into music?
My father, who was raised in the 40s and 50s, never lost an appreciation for the exceptional
music of his time. So growing up, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Bing Crosby were
always playing in our house along with early musical theatre.
I went to a small private middle school — so small that every student was compelled to be in the
middle school musical. I thought, “if I’m going to be in musicals for the next three years, I might
as well learn to sing,” so I found a local voice teacher who happened to have a classical
background. The rest was history.

Who inspired you to make music?

My father. Dad is very well known in Philadelphia and in sports circles around the world. He
broadcast baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies for 37 seasons and was the voice of NFL films
for more than two decades. He received the Ford C Frick award from the Cooperstown Baseball
Hall of Fame for broadcasting excellence in 2002.
In Philadelphia, dad was known to sing Sinatra’s “High Hopes” whenever the Phillies made a
postseason run. To this day, thirteen years after his passing, the Phillies still play a video of dad
singing “High Hopes” on the jumbotron after every home victory.
My debut album, is titled High Hopes — it’s a tribute to dad as well as the city of Philadelphia.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Nostalgic, melodic, symphonic, “a breath of fresh air” — are all terms I would use to describe my
music. For some time, mainstream music has strayed further and further away from strong
melodies and an orchestral sound in favor of the spoken word and computer generated beats. I
believe it’s only a matter of time before the pendulum swings back the other direction and
younger generators rediscover an appetite for big band style music.

What is your creative process like?

To brainstorm ideas, I listen to all types of music from various eras. Standards, country, pop,
rock, classical, reggae — you name it. Then I think, “do the lyrics of this song speak to me? Are
they relatable today?” If the answers are, “yes,” the next things to explore are, “does this song
have a strong melody? Would it sound good with a big band in a croon or swing style?”
Then I get together with the rhythm section of my band. I normally come in with a general idea
of the kind of sound and feeling I’m going for, not a formal composition. I’m lucky to be working
with some of the best musicians in the country so we’re able to just jam out and see what works.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Frank Wildhorn, the best living musical theatre composer.
If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
Trying to entertain and connect with someone else’s audience for 20 minutes who may or may
not understand and relate my music and message isn’t for me.
I would headline the show.

Where have you performed? What are your favourite and least favourite venues?

I love singing with a big band; this genre of music is electrifying when the audience can hear
each instrumental section filled out by a full or chamber orchestra. For that reason, my favorite
place to perform is on large stages that can accommodate fifteen or more musicians, such as in
theaters, casinos, and concert halls.
One unusual venue I frequently perform at though are sports stadiums. I sing the Star Spangled
Banner to kick off each season for the Philadelphia Phillies at their home opener. While
performing at a stadium comes with its own unique challenges, such as cold and windy weather,
hearing your own reverb, and the necessity of singing a capella, I absolutely love the experience
and hold the tradition dear.
Last season I had the honor of performing God Bless America during game four of the World
Series; there is no greater feeling than connecting with 43,000 fans over a shared respect for
your country and love of baseball.

What is one message you would give to your fans?
I don’t like generic, Hallmark-esque messages. So instead of answering with something like,
“follow your dreams,” I’ll touch on something specific that I think could help people.
Personal finance is the most important subject that is not taught in schools. It’s for this reason
people pay financial planners to put them in cookie-cutter products that more or less mimic
index funds that people can easily access themselves.

Promise yourself you will set some portion of your salary aside each month to add to your
savings. If you don’t know what to do with your savings, simply open a brokerage account and
put it in the S&P 500, which has averaged 10% returns over nearly 100 years. Do not keep your
savings in depreciating fiat currency, such as the dollar, or in low-yielding promises to be repaid
fiat currency in the future (such as in bank savings accounts or bonds). Promise yourself you will
not move your savings into cash at any time, even during down markets.
People who stick to this plan for a decade or longer will see a remarkable growth in their
savings due to the effects of compounding returns.

Kane Kalas, 'Luck Be a Lady' Releases His Rendition of Frank Sinatra’s Classic.

Kane Kalas has a single, 'Lucky Be a Lady' It offers a glimpse into the life of a gambler — the song is filled with hope and suspense,” Kane says. “In capturing this feeling, I really explored playing with the lyrics, dynamics, and even the melody. These liberties capture the dramatic essence of the piece.

The Marseille's has a single coming 01/20/23 .... "Only Just Begun"

 Meet the Marseille's...

Marseille are a young rock n roll band formed in late 2021 in Derby, England. The band consists of Will Brown, Joe Labram, Lennon Hall, Tom Spray and most recently Felix Moxey. Signed to Birmingham based label ADR Records, the 90's Madchester scene and the 60's Merseybeat is where Marseille draw most their influences from.

In 2022 Marseille, have already had some success with the singles "Forget It All" which was played on Soccer Am and the 9 minute monster "The Jungle". Over the summer, the band have also performed at the Y-Not and Isle Of Wight Festivals.

With an average age of 18, Marseille are sure to go far…

About, "Only Just Begun"...

The single will drop on the 20th of January 2023 across all major streaming platforms.

The new single “Only Just Begun” is a great call back to Marseille’s 60’s Mersey-beat inspired sound with hints of the 60’s psychedelia movement. With sweet sounding guitar riffs oozing with a bright sunny sound taking you to a sunny day. A song jam packed with glorious hooks and jangles and a great sing-along catchy chorus.

Marseille lead singer and songwriter, Will Brown, had this to say about the song:

“The song is written about a relationship that ended too soon which I’m sure is something a lot of people have experienced. Something full of potential just ends for a silly reason. This song just reflects that and tells a story of feelings and what happened over the course of that time”

The Review..."Only Just Begun"

You readers are in for a treat! The Marseille track "Only Just Begun" is a delightful track. The track starts out with a cloud of guitars that sound as if they were dancing with the bass line. Monument Zero... Single, "Maść na wszy "

About Monument Zero

Monument Zero is an occasional trio consisting of: Łukasz Bejnar, laptop-man from the lo-fi electro project Uchylak, Tomek Osiński, vocalist of the sludge band O.D.R.A and multi instrumentalist, Darek Jackowski. The formation started as a duo in September 2021, and on November 1 of the same year it published its debut s / t album online.
In 2022 they became trio with Darek.
Their first material stylisticall oscillates around electro and hard-tekno, while the verbal layer is a piece of brutal turpistic poetry filled with futuristic visions. The whole thing is a soundtrack to a non-existent post-apocalyptic movie. Their new album will be released probably in this year's spring. Ointment for lice is its herald.

Wicklow Singer Songwriter Marie Keane, releases a new single "Shelter"

A Bit about Marie Keane...

Marie Keane is a singer-songwriter with eclectic themes, from environmental protection (Marie's a qualified environmental scientist) to Motown influenced love tunes. For 20 years she's performed in various blues, soul and jazz ensembles. From the main stage in the Cork Jazz Festival to performing traditionally inspired tunes in the Botanical Gardens, her music crosses more than a few divides.

Her debut album ‘Russian Doll’ is a mix of folk blues and soul with subtle classical and traditional undertones. The release of Russian Doll followed on from it’s launch to a packed out Sugar Club performance of the full album in 2019. Russian Doll is available on vinyl & CD in Tower Records, selected Golden Discs stores and independent record stores in Dublin, Kildare, Athlone, Cork and Galway and record shops throughout the country, supporting Irish music.

"Shelter" is a simple lament about shining a light in dark times. Written during the height of
the lock-downs as an ode to the suffering happening around the world and the uncertainty in my own life” said Marie. “It helped to release my worry and fear”.  The music video reflects its’ simplicity and features the wonderful Vyvienne Long, whose cello performance imbues a real depth of emotion to the music. Shot in the Cellar of the Workman’s Club in Dublin City Centre, the room itself captures the essence of the song’s mood and inspiration.

"Shelter" is the third single from Marie’s second album ‘MNÁ’. It offers a more serene glance into the artists more emotional perspectives and is a departure from the rest of the albums prominent soul and blues rock anthems. The album will be launched in the Workman’s Club on Sunday 26th February at 8pm, with support from Little Oak.

The Review... "Shelter"

This is totally an amazing track. This track starts out with beautifully played cellos and piano that introduces Marie Keane singing with a songbird kind of voice, " Somewhere In The Darkness I Call..." Marie is setting the stage up for the listener to understand the sense of sadness that she feels but, there is another in her life that always comforts her in her time of need. That is something we all are looking for in life. Drums are quietly introduced along with the cello. I tell you readers this is an absolutely beautiful track.

In conclusion, This is a kind of track that leaves it up to the listener to imagine who the person could be that is the one comforting the person in need. it could be a lover or a mother.
With the richness of the cello and piano compliments Marie Keane incredible voice. subtle percussion and bass along with the cello plus the piano at the bridge is simply fantastic! You could really feel the emotions throughout this track. I truly, I can't express enough how much I enjoyed listening to Marie Keane track "Shelter". And I am sure you will enjoy it too as much as I did. Simply a brilliant track.

Where do I start on this emotive and thought provoking track? Well the start surely?

An initial feeling of loneliness smothered with an almost instant instance of  togetherness, with diverse melodies blending together… this is what the world needs! Please!

Rhythms suggest variation or difference. Harmonies create the sense of a common goal. Time flows slowly in each moment but by the end you don’t realize time has passed… simply press play again and drive into a puddle of thinker listener music yet again from the awesome Schizofranic.

She is always writing, open for collaborations and has many more bangers up her sleeve!

The Review of..... 'You & I'

Oh my goodness...Wow from the start of this track... there are millenium style guitars that just sound absolutely amazing. They introduce Caitlin setting the stage for the story.  Caitlin tells the story with her 'Amazing Voice' about what we all possibly go though meeting someone and you click with them but your unsure. But you know there is a spark there and you want confirmation from the one you are into to become a couple, kinda like love at first site. This Track has a EDM feel to it mixed with pop, very brilliant sound. This track will definitely have you dancing either in you seat or just dancing period. Caitlin McCarthy and her band are just out of this world amazing. With their EDM sound mixed with their pop feel  is simple brilliant is all I can say.

In conclusion, I personally love this band. I love their sound and the topics they sing about. Love, Falling in love and all the emotions that you go through in the process of finding love.

SWELTR has a debut single ...What's It Gonna Be?

 A Bit About SWELTR...

SWELTR are a two piece band from the North Dublin region, officially announced to the world on Thursday the 27th of October and released the debut single on Halloween October 31st.
Taking inspiration from what they experienced as children, teens, and now somewhat adults, SWELTR are not afraid to embrace who they truly are.
Shaped by the sites and sounds around them, SWELTR are inspired by even the most outlandish thoughts and ideas, anything is food for thought to these guys.

Former members of the Dublin Post-Punk scene, Noel and Tony are back with a new and fresh understanding and take on the Punk sound, while maintaining the same gut wrenching energy and thump they carried in their previous project. The lads have worked extremely hard and are now ready to begin their journey starting with a ferocious debut single - “What's It Gonna Be?” produced by the band themselves and mixed and mastered by Tony Keyes.

The Review... "What's it Gonna Be?"

What's it Gonna be starts out with amazing roaring guitars introducing the vocalist. Tony sings "Clear as the day gets, clear as the mind could be." As the track go to the verse Tony signs as if he is facing adversity and how he feels about it, frustrated. In a strong belting voice gives the listener the feeling of what Tony is going through. Which I can relate to it I've been there once or twice in my life. the drums in this track is outstanding, well played! SWELTR does amazing vocals with guitars pausing then vocals come in sound outrageously good at the chorus. At the chorus Tony sings. "What's it gonna be...?" in a roaring voice. Singing like he just had enough of whatever the situation is, possibly a woman. Tony sounds as if he is taking a stand and wants to know, "What's it gonna be..?

in conclusion, This is a really outstanding punk duo. I really enjoyed this track because it is in your face truth. SWELTR'S  track is a track we all can relate to, possibly some might be going though what this track message is about. I really loved their roaring guitar's  all through the track. The drums and bass was phenomenal they get your head bobbin. In my opinion this is a really good punk band. If you want to jam this is the band that will take you there.

The Review... Remember Tonight!!

Remember Tonight starts of with an EDM Feel to the track with Caitlin outstanding voice setting the mood of the track. Right away I was bouncing my head. The percussion is almost tropical in nature, it really gets you toes tapping. At the break she got ya dancing in you seat! a wall of sound just bursts along with that amazing voice that Caitlin has. This is a type of track that speaks to the listener about letting loose and just go for it, don't waste one moment live life to the fullest. This Track has truly amazing synths not overpowering, but you definitely hear there presence. The bass was brilliantly played along side the Percussion. I must say I really like this track it had me moving in my seat as I write this review. Outstanding work Caitlin McCarthy with that powerful voice of yours! And Brilliant performance to the band, my hat is off!

6 out of 5

Well, it doesn't get better than this folks. Hence 6 out of 5. "So In Love" is timeless with a brilliant arrangement and out-of-this-world vocals that are so filled with soul that at times, one might be fooled into thinking he's listening to Aretha Franklin. A stunner! Wow!

MIXIE – "Fuccboi"

4 out of 5

A brilliant new pop single from MIXIE that'll set your foot a tapping. That is if you are on one of your innocent moods. If you are not ... well, I won't get into that here.

Zach Churchill - "Surrender"

Zach Churchill's "Surrender" is one of those tracks that's both entertaining and serious at the same time. Personally, I've always loved that combination as I never felt that a song should just be one or the other. But the song's charms do not end there. It's got great vocals and terrific pulsating guitars. However, the true star here is "Surrender's" timeless melody, which sounds like it could have been written in almost any decade since the sixties. It's absolutely brilliant.

The lyrics are dark but realistic. Not everybody has it easy and even the ones who do are bound to hit rough patches somewhere along the way. My favourite lines in the song are:

The voice inside my head sounds just like you do
And I do what it says, event hough I don't want to

With "Surrender" Zach Churchill brings back quite a bit of what has been lost in modern music but what was very much the essence of the singer-songwriter tunes of the late sixties and early seventies: meaningful content.

Darren Holland Project's New Single ..."Hey" Coming Soon!!

WHO IS THE DHP?

The DHP hail from Grain Valley, MO, and consists of Darren Holland and Cheryl Holland, a husband and wife duo with Andy Oxman of Soundworks Recording studies as producer. Their music is an orgasmic pop sound. Each track will transcend you to a world of musical bliss and keep your feet tapping.

Darren lyrically writes about life, the good, the bad, and the ugly. He writes the story of everyone he knows and everyone he meets, and people that are gone in his life. Darren writes about t sex,  drugs, and the mental issues we all have at times. So his stories can be viewed differently by each person who listens and whom it touches.

Darren is the dark, while Cheryl is the light.
Cheryl sings and plays percussion, flute, and drums on some tracks. Her bold singing and attitude give The Darren Holland Project a different feel and give the songs the punch they need.

The single "Hey" will be released on September 1st, 2022. The song Hey is for a girl who made a choice, and I stood by her. It was her body, not her crime!

THE REVIEW..."HEY"

This track starts out with pounding drums that immediately gets you heart pumping and your head bobbin. Accompanied with the drum is bright sounding guitars picking out the melody to lead into the vocal's singing, "Hey, What can I say.." Transitioning into the chorus stating what the individual of this track is going though with their struggle. This is a track about really being a friend and standing up for a friend or loved one, and helping them get through their trying times. I really enjoyed the melody of this track with the guitars and vocals mixing together that give you an alternative rock feel. The drums well played, pound all through the track, truly outstanding!

In conclusion, I really loved the message of this track. A message of standing by a friend or a loved one in their time of need. A track about being someones rock, and literally helping someone through their pain. With the Darren Holland Project's message along with their totally heart pumping track mixed with the lead vocals, along side the beautifully sung background singer singing in unison, while the guitar's play roaring chords, gives you a feeling that every now and then we make choices that not all agree with, but when you think you are all alone, there is sometimes someone willing to reach out their hand, and stand by you against all odds.

The Review... 20-20 Vision!

20-20 Vision right off the bat is controversial. This is a music video not for the faint of heart. The track starts out with rich guitar's accompanied by a drum roll that leads into the vocal singing "20-20 Vision, I got 20-20 Vision" mean while in the background the visuals are flashing all the worlds disasters from tornadoes, wildfires, pollution to floods and wildlife becoming extinct. I absolutely love the groove of this track it has a funk feel to it. It is a track that is playful but extremely serious about the subject matter. According to Markus Facebook banned him from promoting their content after this upset someone.

Furthermore, I really appreciate the in your face approach that this music video is. People need to stop closing their eyes to what is really going on in our world and start to do something about it. 20-20 Vision is a music video exactly about that, doing something about it because we are running out of time. In my opinion this is an amazing music video that is straight to the point. A video everyone needs to see. The track 20-20 Vision is brilliantly done with rich guitar parts and funk style rhythm to lyric's that make you think " I should do something about the state of the world." This is a music video for all that live on planet earth.

The Review...

Upon listening to Helen's song "Firefly" I noticed a catchy beat that sets the mood of this song of joyful anticipation of being with a person that you love dearly. A song that you can feel the love for another through the lyrics. The rhythm is firstly accompanied by up beat guitars playing in unison with the drums that gets your toes tapping and head bobbin. Followed by the wonderful voice of  Helen setting the stage for the story of a person falling in love. The message that I got from this song is how love grows overtime, a song about falling in love. A song that describes all the emotions that one goes though in the process of falling in love. The feeling of wanting this person to love you and how safe you feel just being with them.

In conclusion, I really enjoy this song. I loved the story that Helen is telling you. This is a song that you could relate to with your own experiences in life that you have had on your journey to find love. I felt that I was apart of the story experiencing this person's different emotions of falling in love as I listened. This is a song that you can feel the emotions that Helen is telling you in the lyrics. This song is a song from the heart.

Grammy awarded fiddler Ian Cameron was featured on this track. Another chart stopper called, "You're Not There" that he performed in 2021 with legend Jeff Christie peaked at #1 on the South Africa iTunes chart! "You're Not There" is a brilliant song about loss, coming to terms with loss and all the questions you have while grieving. Lorenzo wrote this song after experiencing the death of his mother. Lorenzo wanted Jeff Christie to sing on this track because from the beginning the legend has been with Lorenzo with his hit song, " Yellow River". You're Not There is a tribute to his mother celebrating the life he shared with his mother.

When I asked Lorenzo, "What is the meaning behind, "I Guess I Am The Only One?",
this is what he had to say....

Even with its bright melody and catchy refrain, the song carries a very deep message. It's an accusation to the way people live life, today, kingdom of egotism, taking care more of the concrete things such as money, nice cars...And nobody anymore seems to be interested in what really matters in life: LOVE. It's also the aching accusation towards the way society seems to exclude diversity instead of welcoming it. They see it as a danger, not as a richness. You hear the words:

They believe in money but I believe in love

I see them working hard – they save up to buy that car

To brag about with their friends

They don’t like my hair so they just look away

They hate to look me in the eye, no matter what I do

They’ll never trust me enough

So, there's no chance. Who's different is destined to be refused and left alone, but here it comes the positive side of the song in the refrain:

And I’ll never fool myself

Being someone that I’m not

To please you

I guess I am the only one

Which means: even if they refuse you, even if they leave you alone, don't change who you are, be just who you are, because if you would accept to change your nature, you would be fooling the only person which you must not fool: yourself. This is a great message for all the ones who could be enclosed on the word "Diversity". And you know what I mean.

Listing to this track I feel the message of just being yourself don't change to please another for any reason. I love the sound of the guitars that accent the vocalist. The Melody takes you to a place that gives you a feeling of loving oneself. Loving yourself for who you are. This song takes you on a journey within to search for who you really are and what you believe in.

In conclusion, Lorenzo Gabanizza could not have said it any better. The world does frown down at diversity. But diversity does not have to be a bad thing. diversity is what makes us different from one another, unique. Diversity also helps us grow a sort of learning tool for life, it makes us better human beings.
