Peter Groenwald – "Do You Remember?"

5 out of 5

Peter Groenwald's upcoming single "Do You Remember?" is a very accomplished pop number that will stick in your head long after the last note has faded. It's very cleverly produced soft pop/rock with lots of ear candy for the listener. The acoustic guitars that come in at the beginning of the second verse are fantastic as is the orchestration. In fact, the song begins with a pizzicato riff that will grab your attention right away.

Yet, the real star here is Peter's singing. It's effortless and inviting. This guy has a great voice and his falsetto is absolutely brilliant. To me, it's reminiscent of Carl Wilson's wonderful voice. Peter's got the same range and softness. Check it out and you'll know what I am talking about.

You'll find the song here when it comes out on October 6: Peter Groenwald

Back With Grit

Marseille Are Back

In 2022 Marseille are back with even more grit, vigour and high energy indie goodness.

Released digitally on Friday 11th February. “She Knows a Place” is an upbeat punky banger which will leave listeners blown away with its attitude. Yet the track is still in keeping with the Madchester‘esque indie swagger, fans of the band will be familiar with.

Marseille’s frontman, Will Brown had this to say on the new single:

“I was sitting around bored and decided to write a ‘Beatlesy’ ballad about a girl who takes you away to get off your face, and then getting lucky afterwards. But as the song evolved it gathered energy, becoming more ‘in your face’. Drawing in elements of the Sex Pistols, The Beach Boys and Oasis’s Definitely Maybe”.

Background:
Marseille are a young rock n roll band from Derby, England. Will, Tom and Joe play music reminiscent of the 90's Madchester scene with their own individual influences.

In 2021 despite Covid-19 disrupting the music scene. Marseille kept busy, releasing their debut single, aptly entitled ‘Worlds Gone Mad’ and 2 further releases ‘Shout It Out Loud’ and ‘State of Mind’.

All of the tracks achieved plenty of airplay. In May the band received ‘BBC Introducing’ recognition as ’Shout It Out Loud’ was named their track of the week. Then to promote the bands new material, the band hit the road and accrued 33 live shows across the UK.

Ending the year on a high, performing to 400 people at Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms.

With an average age of just 18, this band is sure to go far……
