An eerie and at the same time brilliant art pop track that has an intriguing arrangement with all sorts of ear candy happening throughout. "Shut" is a prime example of a song that's very unique in every possible way. By the second chorus you think you've pretty much heard the track but soon find out that you couldn't be more wrong. This is when a very tastefully played guitar solo kicks in and evolves into a wonderful middle eight with beautiful strings and some gorgeous vocals. It's followed by a hook "dim the lights, take your time" which also becomes the unexpected outro of the song. Love it.
