If there were more new bands like WhoDaresWins, I might listen to modern pop/rock more often. I mean what is there not to like? "Hero" is a brilliant, pop-flavored rock track that combines so many different elements from the past, present and the future that it leaves the listener breathless. It's absolutely stunning.
At the heart of the group is father and son: Will Jack and Willie Jack. The former has a soulful, raspy, million-dollar voice and the latter is just simply put, a truly stunning guitarist. With a little help from Tom Tikka and John Haddrell, these two have created a master piece that starts off with Queen-like harmonies but soon explodes into exuberant power-pop that engages you completely and utterly.
Check out the song. It's a delight to everyone who appreciates great rock'n'roll.
